Intellectual Property & Ownership
Absolutely. You own 100% of the derivative work (the "cake") you create using our blocks (the "ingredients"). We don’t claim any ownership over your unique configurations, custom logic, or final PCB files. You are the inventor; we just provide the verified building blocks to get you there faster.
It means no "success tax." Once you purchase a license, you never owe us a per-unit fee or a percentage of your sales. Whether you build one prototype or mass-produce a million units, your only cost is the initial license fee. We believe hardware costs are complex enough—your IP shouldn't be.
The Individual Plan is strictly for non-commercial use—think prototyping, academic research, and personal "maker" projects. If you intend to sell your product, move into a "for-profit" stage, or use it for client work, you must upgrade to the Professional Plan to obtain a valid Commercial Production License.
Plans & Pricing
The Individual plan provides the map (Schematics). The Professional plan provides the engine and the chassis. With Pro, you unlock Verified PCB Layout files and Production-Ready Firmware. For a professional, the $1,497 fee usually pays for itself in less than three days of saved engineering labor.
You keep everything you’ve downloaded forever. Quickboards is a one-time purchase. If you want access to the newest blocks released after your first year, you can choose to renew your update window, but your existing library and licenses never expire.
We prioritize depth over density. Every block is hardware-verified. We are aggressively expanding our library toward our 500-block roadmap. Pro users get real-time access to these new blocks as they pass our internal verification tests.
Technical Specifics
We currently provide native support for Altium Designer. Our blocks are designed to be "snapped" into your existing workflow without needing to rebuild symbols or footprints from scratch.
Yes. For Professional users, our layout snippets include recommended stack-ups, trace widths for impedance control, and via-stitching for thermal management. We provide the "Golden Layout" that has already been tested in real-world hardware.
If there is a specific chipset or sub-circuit you need, Professional and Organization users can submit requests. We use these requests to prioritize our development roadmap.
